We’ve always driven by this hotel and wondered what it would be like to stay there. It’s easy to miss, not the most inviting hotel from the outside, and kind of shunned to the side.
Every now and then we roam down to Waikiki to enjoy a restaurant or two that we’ve never visited before. It’s a nice short getaway, even if it’s only for the night, and there are always new restaurants to try out.
The beauty of living in Hawaii is not only the friendly people, pleasant climate, and having access to world class resorts, but also the ability to utilize “Kama’aina rates” – that is, discounted pricing only available to residents of Hawaii.
As we are heading closer to the end (hopefully) of the COVID-19 pandemic, we took the opportunity to spend a week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, Hawaii. To our surprise, so did a lot of other people.
