Every now and then we roam down to Waikiki to enjoy a restaurant or two that we’ve never visited before. It’s a nice short getaway, even if it’s only for the night, and there are always new restaurants to try out.
It was very exciting during our last trip to Japan to get an invitation to a “tofu restaurant” located smack middle in Tokyo, right next to the famous Tokyo Tower – an area we hadn’t explored much in the past.
For some people, when you mention Japanese food, they only think sushi and maybe sometimes even ramen soup (originally Chinese). But there is so much more to Japanese cuisine. And a lot of it has to do with their art of cooking and presenting their dishes.
