The beauty of living in Hawaii is not only the friendly people, pleasant climate, and having access to world class resorts, but also the ability to utilize “Kama’aina rates” – that is, discounted pricing only available to residents of Hawaii.
As we are heading closer to the end (hopefully) of the COVID-19 pandemic, we took the opportunity to spend a week at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, Hawaii. To our surprise, so did a lot of other people.
What can one do when you’re stuck on an island and itching to go somewhere? Considering the circumstances, we’ve been very fortunate this year and have enjoyed spending time at home, but as frequent travelers still very eager to go somewhere.
People we know who live in Phoenix always tell us to stay away from Arizona in the summertime and it’s brutal heat. Fortunately, out of pure luck and coincidence, the few times we’ve been in Arizona has been in the fall. How lovely it’s been!
